Iâm a software developer and graduate of the 16-week immersive full-stack software development program at Digitalcrafts in Houston, TX.
US, Houston, TX
I graduated in 2004 from Loyola Marymount University with degrees in psychology and history, and in 2006 from the University of Chicago with a degree in social science. Though I had been exposed to statistics as a research analyst for The Nielsen Company, it was not until my enrollment in the Yale School of Public Health when I truly mastered the philosophy and application of programming. On graduation I accepted a position as a clinical research coordinator at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where we worked on several ground-breaking drug trials- an experience that revealed the possibilities of data science and the importance of clinical software. I ultimately enrolled in an immersive web development bootcamp to transition into a "pure" developer role and to harmonize my talents for both logical and creative undertakings. After 4 intense months of learning popular technologies such as React and PostgreSQL, I devote each day to mastering our craft, with the hope of securing a full-time position.
